Key Responsibilities As a Residential Property Paralegal, you will support the residential property team in managing a diverse caseload of transactions from instruction to post-completion. Your key duties will include: Assisting with the sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold properties. Supporting the management of remortgages, transfers of equity, and new build purchases. Conducting property searches and liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other relevant parties. Drafting and reviewing contracts, title documents, and other related legal documentation under the supervision of a solicitor. Ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and other legal requirements. Maintaining accurate case records and managing client expectations through regular communication. Assisting in dealing with complex property issues, such as lease extensions, shared ownership, and adverse possession. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals. Key Skills and Experience Required Previous experience in residential property law is highly desirable. Strong understanding of the conveyancing process, including relevant legislation and regulations. Excellent client care skills, with the ability to communicate legal concepts clearly and effectively. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving in all aspects of work. Experience using conveyancing case management systems is advantageous.
