Job Description
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant on a temporary basis to support the Finance department in the preparation of monthly management accounts and other key finance tasks. Duties will include coordinating monthly management accounts, conducting relevant cost analysis as well as assist in business planning.
Key Responsibilities
* Process and record financial transactions accurately, including invoices, payments, and expenses.
* Verify and reconcile invoices and receipts with purchase orders and delivery notes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
* Maintain and update financial records using accounting software.
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and budgets, providing accurate and timely data.
* Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
* Assist in the preparation of statutory Government returns including VAT returns and other tax-related documents.
* Credit control and aged debt analysis.
* Support the preparation of year end accounts as well as audit preparation and liaising with auditors.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
* Contribute to financial analysis and reporting activities, providing insights on financial performance and trends.
* Support with Payroll function when required.

Essential Qualifications / Experience
* Proven experience in a similar Management Accounts role.
* CAI/ATI/ACCA or equivalent qualification.
* A degree or certification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
* Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across a number of
* teams.
* Strong organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
* Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and compliance in the UK
