We are excited to offer two full-time Band 7 Mental Health Ward Manager positions across our Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Acute Mental Health Wards. These positions provide an excellent opportunity for an experienced and dynamic leader to join our multidisciplinary team and make a significant impact on patient care and ward management.
As a Ward Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the clinical, operational, and administrative aspects of the ward. You will oversee a team of skilled professionals and work collaboratively to provide high-quality, person-centred care for individuals in mental health crisis.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Mental Health professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering excellent care. The successful candidate will have:
* NMC Registration (or equivalent) as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or other relevant qualification.
* Significant post-registration experience in mental health settings, with at least 2 years in a senior clinical role.
* Previous experience in a managerial or leadership position within a mental health setting.
* Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act and relevant legislation.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage a multidisciplinary team and ensure high standards of care delivery.
* Experience in quality improvement, risk management, and staff development.
