Location: Leeds, Stockton-on-Tees, Elland, York
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm (can be worked flexibly)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Bonus opportunity: Up to £2,400 per year (measurement based on company and personal performance)
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for responding to all allocated requests of an electrical nature across our portfolio, including general maintenance and repairs to building fabric and associated equipment. The Electrical Maintenance Technician will also work flexibly to meet the needs of the team. The role will require mobile working from different sites across the North of England and Lincolnshire and may require participation in the out-of-hours on-call rota. A company vehicle, tablet, and phone will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out electrical statutory and planned maintenance
* Respond to reactive tasks allocated by our Customer Care Team, ensuring all properties managed by Sewell Facilities Management are maintained to a high standard
* General maintenance and repairs to building fabric and associated equipment as necessary
* Liase with external contractors as and when appropriate to meet the needs of the business
* Identification and reporting/repairing of defects and maintenance requirements within Sewell properties
* Assist with compiling information for maintenance and repair quotations, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing
* Maintain a safe, legally compliant work environment by adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations across all maintenance activities
* Communicating information to the client, facilities officers, and management as appropriate
* Participate in the on-call rota to address emergency callouts, providing reliable and timely responses to urgent issues
Skills and Attributes:
Essential:
* Full Driving License, valid in the UK
* Recognised Level 3 qualification to BS7671 18th Edition
* Fire alarm servicing experience
* Possess a positive & professional attitude
* Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
* Proactive approach towards both planned and reactive maintenance
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to liaise with contractors
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise numerous tasks
* A positive approach to learning & development
* Possess a flexible outlook towards working hours (out of hours working will be required as part of the on-call callout rota system)
* Strong knowledge of current health & safety practices
Desirable:
* BS2391 Testing and Inspecting
* First Aid Trained
* Experience in minor plumbing tasks
