The role
As an Aircraft Maintenance Manager - Hawk T2, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The Aircraft Maintenance Manager - Hawk T2 at RAF Valley, Anglesey will control and manage personnel and resources on behalf of BAE Systems Air pertinent to Depth Maintenance activities and Maintenance Support Engineers in support of the Operational Flying requirement for the RAF.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
* The overall Safety, Welfare, and discipline of all assigned Prime and Sub-Contractor personnel in conjunction with the Management and Supervisory Team.
* Compliance with the Maintenance Organisation Exposition.
* Motivation of all assigned personnel.
* Delegation of engineering authority and empowerment of personnel to carry out their duties effectively to meet the aims of the contract.
* Ensuring any mandated requirements are undertaken.
This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Valley. This role is 37.5 hours over a 4-day rota system (Currently Mon – Thursday).
Essential experience:
* Thorough knowledge of airworthiness practices.
* Experience in creating an engaged safety culture, conducting investigations and root cause analysis.
* Experienced in organizing, developing, implementing, and adopting management and process improvements supported through Key Performance Indicators.
* Experience of completing QA and Technical reports.
* Experience of working with a QMS (Quality Management system).
Qualifications:
* Must be educated to HND/Degree level or recognised equivalent or have relevant experience supported by formal, recorded workplace applied related training.
* 6 years post qualification experience within a senior supervisory position within an operational military flying environment.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS security clearance for this role.
