Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to helping individuals and families navigate through challenging situations. This role requires a deep understanding of social issues, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. As a Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in advocating for clients, providing support, and facilitating access to necessary resources.
Responsibilities
* Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and develop tailored intervention plans.
* Provide counselling and support to individuals and families facing emotional, social, or financial challenges.
* Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organisations, and government agencies to coordinate services for clients.
* Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress in accordance with organisational policies.
* Advocate for clients’ rights and assist them in accessing resources such as housing, healthcare, and financial assistance.
* Facilitate support groups and workshops to empower clients and promote community engagement.
* Stay informed about current social issues, policies, and best practices in the field of social work.
Requirements
* A recognised degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
* Registration with the relevant professional body is preferred.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Experience in case management or direct client work is advantageous.
* Knowledge of local resources and services available for clients is beneficial.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in practice.
