Purpose of Role Responsible for providing learning and development opportunities for members of our field teams in order for them to achieve their business objectives, create a high performance environment and to embed our ‘Learning Organisation’ value into our current practices. To work in partnership with key stakeholders and L&D colleagues to shape and develop L&D plans in line with the needs of the business. Contribute to the assessment of the learning requirements for members of the field teams by analysing business performance and strategic marketing plans. Act as the knowledge expert for all Urgo brands and the Wound Care therapy area to deliver learning interventions for all new employees and ongoing training for field teams. Work with specific individuals in partnership with field managers to maximise their individual performance through professional development plans, coaching and providing constructive feedback. Design and develop creative and innovative training materials, measure and evaluate the effectiveness of all learning interventions. This role will be primarily home based and require travelling as per customer and/ or business needs. Key Duties and Responsibilities KEY ACCOUNTABILITIIES The job holder will support the delivery of the Company’s key business objectives through the delivery of their key accountabilities as follows: To support the Head of L&D in the implementation of the Learning and Development Strategy for all employees, identify individual and collective learning needs and providing input into personal development plans where agreed. Provide one to one field visits, coaching sessions, training and follow-up with specific individuals where appropriate and agreed with all stakeholders in order to optimise performance. Work with the Head of L&D and Commercial Excellence to develop innovative ways to evaluate and score the delivery of sales calls to develop the fieldforce’s capability to drive performance. Responsible for the design, development and implementation of Initial Training Courses (ITC) for all new employees. This will include co-ordination of venues, catering and preparation of all training materials. Responsible for developing training materials to keep employees updated with any changes to communication on brands, competitors or the market and deliver virtual or face to face training regionally or nationally as required. Responsible, with Marketing Department, for providing employees with up to date knowledge and training to ensure that products are professionally and effectively promoted in line with messaging and campaigns driven by annual brand plans. Partnering with the Marketing & Sales Departments in the planning and execution of training interventions and brand workshops at National Sales Conferences and other events. Involvement with the recruitment process for relevant roles, in particular assessment centers (e.g. developing and conducting role play exercises). To ensure professional knowledge and skills are kept updated by actively participating in learning opportunities and continuing ongoing professional development. Skills, Qualifications & Experience CIPD or relevant qualification in teaching or adult learning would be an advantage Solid knowledge of the sales process with previous field sales training and coaching experience within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry. Relevant experience within the wound care market in either sales, L&D or a training role will be an advantage. A proven track record of coaching and developing sales representatives and delivering training programs Excellence in the ability to design, develop and deliver first class training programs virtually and face to face Ability to recognise and implement additional training or mentoring where there is a need. Exceptional organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment; must be a high-energy and a motivated self-starter Strong technical proficiency in presentation design, Microsoft PowerPoint, word and excel with the ability to learn complex systems quickly Willingness to travel nationally as required with frequent overnight stays
