Opus People Solutions on behalf of Suffolk County Council have an exciting opportunity for a Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to join their Team. This role will be a mixture of hybrid and office working in the Bury St Edmunds area. The responsibility of the Children and Young People's Directorate (CYP) is to ensure the safety, well-being and learning of children and young people. To do so we need to make every intervention count to create impact and bring about sustainable change for children, young people and their families where need is identified. We are determined to continuously improve our services by working in partnership to ensure that our work is high quality and effective. Duties Management of children in care reviews and child protection conferences with effective scrutiny and progress tracking. Raise concerns/compliments of practice to all agencies to prevent drift and identify gaps in service provision. Consultancy to colleagues. Practice leads in signs of safety and wellbeing. Monitoring and providing effective management information on children's planning for the Head of Safeguarding. Chairing of complex meetings. Regulation 44 visitor to the 5 Suffolk County Council children's homes, monthly reporting on effectiveness to safeguard children and the conduct of the homes.
