Waters is looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer!
You will join the Biologics software engineering group as part of an agile development team and help ensure the high standard of software our customers need, whether its developing COVID tests and vaccines, helping scientists detect cancer, ensuring food safety, or helping scientists develop biodegradable plastics – our work has a real benefit to the world!
Responsibilities
* Working collaboratively as part of a cross-discipline agile team to incrementally deliver software.
* Understanding customer requirements and creating test cases from those requirements.
* Defining the most appropriate test approach for the project or task.
* Engaging in automation testing, contributing to the definition of an executable specification, written in Gherkin, and working with the team on the implementation.
* Discussing overall risks and trends.
* Performing manual/exploratory tests on early-stage code.
* Performing usability, functional, performance, exploratory, and acceptance testing as the situation and product demands.
* Providing testing support to internal and external users.
Qualifications
We would love to hear from you if you:
* Considerable experience in software testing.
* Experience in planning, estimating, and scheduling testing activities.
* Are keen and quick to learn new things, both in terms of testing techniques and the science behind our software.
* Enjoy engaging with others to understand and tackle problems.
* Feel comfortable talking to stakeholders to capture requirements, feedback, and track down bugs.
* Share our ambition to continually improve and develop phenomenal products.
Were also interested in candidates:
* With a degree (B.Sc, M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in a science-related discipline.
* With test automation experience, including experience with Test Automation tools and techniques (e.g., Selenium, Specflow, SoapUI, etc.).
