Your new role
Hays is working with a reputable company in East Bristol who are looking for an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for managing the general ledger accounts. Main duties of the role include:
* Serve as a key contributor during the month-end process
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of journals
* Perform monthly ledger revaluations
* Complete monthly control account and balance reconciliations using Excel
* Process monthly prepayment and accrual journals
* Input monthly payroll journals
* Investigate and process re-charges between sites
* Post various monthly journals and raise invoices as needed
* Adhere to internal controls compliance
What you'll need to succeed
* Minimum AAT qualification
* Intermediate proficiency in Excel
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with keen attention to detail
* Ability to prioritise and organise work effectively over time
* Demonstrates flexibility throughout the month to meet key processing and reporting deadlines, especially at month-end and year-end
