What you’ll do
We are looking for a pragmatic and collaborative commercial lawyer to support the sale of global products and services to large multinational companies headquartered in Europe. Key responsibilities include providing legal advice to business stakeholders and drafting and negotiating customer agreements.
1. Provide accurate, effective, and timely legal advice, analysis, and support on commercial and contractual matters.
2. Review, draft, and negotiate contracts for complex multi-national transactions with bespoke elements, including fixed and mobile services.
3. Maintain effective contact with relevant individuals in other key functions, such as Regulatory, Privacy, Security, Tax, etc., influence and assist in discussions with such personnel to ensure the best legal solution to meet commercial objectives.
4. Build and facilitate good-working relationships across operating companies; advise on multi-national deal governance and processes.
5. Ability to manage own workload and to provide a significant contribution to Vodafone Business contracting initiatives and projects.
6. Deliver training as needed to sales and service management colleagues.
Who you are
1. Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements with sophisticated customers.
2. Fluency in languages other than English, and knowledge of legal systems in Europe is a plus.
3. Able to meet the personal challenges of working with a fast-paced and highly incentivised sales organisation.
4. Able to deal with complexity and ambiguity in a dynamic working environment.
5. Strong influencing, bridging, and negotiating skills (both internally and externally). Capable of working independently but with the confidence to identify areas where training, supervision or personal development is required. Positive and collaborative outlook with ability to work well with a team to propose solutions. Knows how to get things done.
6. Ability to communicate effectively (both internally and externally) in a timely and customer-focused fashion.
7. Experience working on multiple projects at once with an ability to prioritise and plan time effectively, provide accurate, pragmatic, and actionable advice to tight deadlines.
8. Understand the technological and commercial challenges and recommend innovative solutions in a risk-aware manner. Able to balance the need of the organization to achieve commercial goals with the need to adhere to governance.
