Emerald Teaching are seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) to join our team, delivering high-quality, engaging science education in schools across Manchester. About the Role: As a Science Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping students understanding of the scientific world. Your responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics) in line with the national curriculum and school standards. Creating engaging and interactive lessons to foster students curiosity and understanding in scientific concepts. Assessing student progress through assignments, experiments, and tests, providing detailed feedback to ensure continuous improvement. Developing and adapting teaching resources that cater to various learning styles, ensuring all students have access to the curriculum. Maintaining a safe and productive classroom environment, ensuring that students understand and follow proper safety protocols during experiments and activities. Supporting extracurricular science activities, including science clubs, field trips, and events, to deepen students understanding and passion for science. Collaborating with colleagues to ensure cohesive curriculum delivery and sharing best practices in science teaching. What Were Looking For: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a relevant degree in a scientific field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, or Physics). Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, with the ability to teach at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5). Experience teaching science in a secondary school setting (preferred but not essential). Excellent classroom management skills, ensuring a safe and focused learning environment. A commitment to student engagement, using innovative techniques to spark interest in science. Ability to differentiate lessons for students with varying levels of ability and learning styles.
