The role To support in the management of all warehouse activities, to ensure the efficient and safe distribution of all products to and from Durbin UK facilities. Responsible for the day-to-day operations management of people within the warehouse and facilities departments, to ensure company's targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements, ensuring that staff comply with health, safety, and standard operating procedures. Responsible for housekeeping standards and continuous improvement within the warehouse. To manage, assign and organise staff, manage performance and productivity and to ensure excellent standards of customer service, for both internal and external customers. To effectively manage staff to bring the best out of the team, delegating effectively, motivating others and to ensure client and internal KPIs & SLA deadlines are achieved. Key Outcomes and Responsibilities Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Quality related procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of product meets customers timescales/requirements Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods Supervise and proactively control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage Organise, facilitate, and manage stock takes at regular intervals Identify errors and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures whilst adopting the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system to ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy Completing and maintaining all daily and weekly reports and logs for the warehouse. Ensuring that all workflow procedures and processes are followed by direct reports. Coaching, training, and guiding direct reports to deliver high levels of quality service to customers, by ensuring all warehouse staff are aware of their responsibilities, monitoring staff performance and providing relevant support To ensure that the warehouse area is kept a clean and safe environment, mitigating any health and safety risks Taking responsibility and ownership in problem resolution. Responsible for overall productivity within the designated team Actively support operational change whilst effectively minimising disruption to production and service. Sufficient proven experience as a supervisor or team leader, in an operational service delivery role; preferably from within a pharmaceutical industry or a supply chain background. Possess the ability to lead and motivate a team of people to succeed by utilising appropriate interpersonal styles including leading by example, setting objectives, and defining responsibilities to give a clear sense of direction Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality Able to achieve results by setting high standards and committing to clear objectives Ability to build and develop successful long-term relationship with customers, direct reports, other teams, and departments.
