Contract Job Scope Summary:
Project Overview:
* Critical Testing Role: The role involves overseeing critical testing for a Rail ITSO tap and go solution, similar to Londons Oyster Card.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage Testing Phase: Oversee and manage the entire testing phase, ensuring the process is both thorough and efficient.
* Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies to reduce the testing period without compromising the quality of the outcomes.
* Risk Management: Ensure that robust risk management practices are in place and adhered to throughout the testing phase.
* Hands-on Testing Support: Provide hands-on testing support, as there is no dedicated testing team available.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the project team, who are currently handling the testing tasks.
Current Team and Resources:
* Small Team: The existing team is small and currently unable to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Future Planning:
* Phase 2: The role will evolve to focus more on strategy and planning for an EMV upgrade in Phase 2, which may require expanding the team.
Collaboration and Reporting:
* Team Coordination: Collaborate with the delivery partner and the existing project team to ensure the safe and successful implementation of the software and hardware.
* Progress Reporting: Coordinate and report progress to the relevant stakeholders.
Contract Details:
* Duration: Initial contract for 6 months, with a potential extension of up to 12 months.
* Travel: Remote work is acceptable, but on-site presence is required approximately 1-2 days a week for on-site testing and collaboration with stakeholders.
