An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant colleague to join the Rheumatology team at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust. The post is based at Warwick Hospital with some outpatient clinics held at Stratford Upon Avon Hospital. There are no on call commitments. You will be joining our friendly dynamic team of 7 Consultants, 1 Senior Trust Doctor, 5 Rheumatology Clinical Nurse Specialists and 1 Clinical Pharmacist.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and dedicated individual keen to add to our drive to deliver high quality rheumatology services for our local population. The successful candidate will be supported in developing subspecialty interests and will be actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will undertake out-patient clinics at Warwick and Stratford Upon Avon Hospitals. You will be expected to undertake administrative duties directly associated with the care of patients and the running of clinics. There is opportunity to develop a specialist interest.
Other duties will include:
1. Supervision of patients receiving day case infusions
2. Seeing ward referrals from other teams
3. Clinical supervisor for trainee doctors and nurse specialists
4. Involvement in departmental teaching of trainees and other health professionals
5. Active part in Audit and Clinical Governance
6. Involvement in teaching of undergraduate medical students will be encouraged
