Our daughter needs to be spoon fed and has some mobility but needs complete assistance in dressing, changing position and other daily activities. She is home schooled and part of her care would also include some therapeutic and educational activities to aid her development. We will explain more about what this entails on application/interview.
We are looking for a part time carer with extensive experience working with disable children. Our 9 year old daughter has a very rare neurological condition and she suffers from epilepsy. Our daughter is a very friendly, delightful girl who enjoys music and going for quiet walks. She is non verbal but very relational and is curious about new people. She is also very sensitive and sometimes needs emotional reassurance and comforting., Must be confident and experienced in working with disabilities and epilepsy. Be able to act efficiently and calmly in an emergency and call 999 if necessary. Naturally warm and caring person, who understands the importance of bonding and attachment. Responsible, reliable and trustworthy. Excellent time keeping. Good communication and social skills. Be willing to learn and have the ability to work on your own initiative., Disability Confident
