Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Surgical management team for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed individual as a Business Support Manager. Main duties of the job To provide management support to the Directorate management team and its clinicians, delivering outstanding service delivery and organisational performance. This includes working with others, to develop practical service planning delivery that supports improvements in patient experience and care. The main focus of this role will to be to manage the inpatient and outpatient schedulers and medical secretaries for Urology, ensuring inpatient and outpatient targets are met within the Directorate, following the WG Referral to Treatment rules. This includes treat in turn, validation, E:lisiting, theatre KPIs etc. The successful candidate will provide line management to the Inpatient and Outpatient booking Pod and medical secretarial and other administration roles. They will be expected to manage the cancer tracker and maintain RTT delivery. There will be an expectation to attend Directorate meetings and take minutes and actions where appropriate whilst also being the first point of contact for any concerns and complaints. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly in order to ensure the smooth running of the department, and to be proactive in suggesting new ways of working.
