As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred care and assistance to individuals with diverse needs, including those with physical disabilities, mental health conditions, learning disabilities, or elderly care requirements. Your role will empower clients to live independently, maintain their dignity, and achieve their personal goals. Key Responsibilities Provide practical and emotional support tailored to each individual’s needs. Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration. Support clients in accessing community services, activities, and appointments. Foster independence and encourage individuals to make choices and take part in decision-making. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the individual’s needs to the relevant team members or professionals. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to provide holistic care. Promote a safe and inclusive environment for clients and team members. Skills and Qualifications Essential: Genuine passion for helping others and improving their quality of life. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A caring, empathetic, and patient approach. Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Desirable: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (Good to have not needed).
