This role is brand new for the PR agency, and is being recruited at a super important time as the senior leaders focus on succession and planning for the future. There’s a huge opportunity to take on the role of Deputy Managing Director during 2025, so we are looking for a highly motivated and very experienced PR agency leader. Your senior leadership skills in a PR agency and natural management experience with clients and budgets will be put to good use in this very well-established agency with hubs in London and Brighton. Managing a nationwide team of consultants, you’ll be excited and motivated by developing team skills, and nurturing talent. The team has a group of PR professionals who are in the early stages of their career and who need lots of training, development and general care and attention, so it’s important that you love that part of your job already and have a genuine interest in developing new talent in PR. Additionally, you’ll be laser focused on the bottom line and have natural and well developed new business, client development and business management skills. Experience in food and drink, both trade and consumer would be useful, but is not essential, as what’s really key is that senior leadership experience and a new team member who can rise to the challenge of running a successful and growing PR agency. One day a week in East Sussex, the rest can be remote although it would be preferred that the candidate naturally and willingly wants to spend more time with the team, either in London or Sussex Generous salary (will be disclosed during the conversations), super benefits (including VERY flexible start and finish times). Although many clients offer remote working as an option, there is still a need to regularly visit company offices and clients in the UK.
