We’re seeking a seasoned Technical Director to head up our Show System Division, reporting to our Director of Technology. Responsibilities:
* Lead CONDUCTR’s Show System Division, managing a team of AV engineers, spatial designers, and freelancers.
* Collaborate with in-house creatives and external partners to deliver innovative, future-ready solutions.
* Design and deliver highly reliable AV and IT infrastructures, focusing on integrated networking systems, media distribution, and control architecture.
* Develop high-level technical solutions and cost estimates during creative workshops and project bids.
* Produce detailed project documentation, including schematics, BoMs, system specifications, and reports.
* Oversee on-site installation and commissioning to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
* Support the commercial team with bid packages and technical expertise to secure new business.
* Provide mentorship, recruitment support, and foster growth within the team.
* Travel internationally to oversee installations, client meetings, and technical milestones.
You should have:
* At least 5 years in a senior AV or consultancy role.
* 5+ years of experience managing technical budgets, engineering teams, installations, and logistics.
* Strong expertise in designing and implementing AV systems integrated with IT networks (e.g., media networks, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC).
* Proficient in creating networked solutions for media playback, control systems, and real-time interactivity.
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and SketchUp.
* Familiarity with manufacturers like Barco, Christie, Crestron, Extron, and Q-SYS.
* Experience with projection and playback systems (e.g., Watchout, 7th Sense, Coolux, Disguise).
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
It would be great if you have:
* Experience with theme parks, museums, or location-based entertainment.
* Familiarity with next-generation technologies and environments.
* Control systems programming.
