As the Legal Secretary our client is looking for a confident communicator with exposure reporting to a range of internal stakeholders offering support. You’ll partner with some of the South West’s best lawyers ensuring the customer journey is smooth and reliable. Experience of work within a conveyancing department is desirable and experience with legal forms and the conveyancing process is preferable. What does the package look like: Salary ranging from £28,000 - £34,000 DOE On site parking facilities or parking permit offered 25 days holiday entitlement plus Christmas shutdown & bank holidays Monday – Friday 09:00am – 17:30pm Regular appraisals and salary reviews Employee pension scheme offering 3% employer contribution A friendly environment that encourages regular social events for excellent work life balance This Legal Secretary will hold the below responsibilities: Transcription of data preparing correspondence and documents as directed, using audio typing and copy work Typing and amending legal documentation. To provide general administrative support to colleagues as directed. To handle information in a manner that is consistent with data protection laws. Liaising with clients, solicitors and other professionals via telephone and email. Diary and file management supporting the firms’ administrative demands. Proficiently make appointments, arrange meetings and liaise between lawyers, clients and others. Collaborating with various departments internally To handle information in a manner that is consistent with data protection laws. The ideal candidate for this Legal Secretary will hold the exposure and skillsets below: Experience with legal forms and the conveyancing process Fast, accurate typing with strong IT skills Have good timekeeping and time management. Have secretarial skills, including accurate audio typing. Be highly organised and able to cope under pressure with meticulous and accurate attention to detail. Be able to communicate confidently and effectively with clients as well as a wide range of other people over the telephone and in person. Be willing to learn, with aptitude for a gradual increase in responsibilities. Be able to prepare legal documents.
