An opportunity has arisen for a fixed term appointment, within the Chief Nurse’s support team at UHBW. Working alongside the Assistant Chief Nurse: Corporate Quality & Assurance and the Senior Nurse: Quality & Professional Standards, the post holder will provide vital administrative support for the Trust Wide Clinical Accreditation Programme as well as clerical administration for both roles.
Accreditation frameworks are tools used by NHS Trusts to bring together key measures of nursing and multiprofessional clinical care into one overarching framework to enable a comprehensive assessment of the quality of care provided.
Main duties of the job
The primary focus of this role is to provide comprehensive administrative support for the accreditation programme, being the key administrator for the accreditation programme timetable. The role requires the coordination of diaries of the assessment teams and areas to be accredited as well as collating and preparing information in preparation for the accreditation assessments.
In addition, the successful applicant will be required to extract data from both the accreditation database and the professional nurse advocate database to assist in the production of corporate reports.
Clerical administration for both roles includes diary management, arranging diary appointments and venues for diarised meetings, maintaining accurate filing systems, and ability to adapt to the use of computer packages and programmes, providing expert IT skills.
The successful applicant will have strengths in communication, organisation, and time management. You will need to have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of accuracy. The ability to work on your own, using a methodical and organised approach to work and demonstrating initiative are essential skills.
