The duties will include, but are not be limited to:
* Carry out inspection of the Fire dampers in accordance with BS9999
* Installation of access doors into ventilation system in accordance with DW144
* Installation, repair of passive fire stopping
* Installation, repair of fire dampers including ductwork modifications
* Conduct regular inspections of the physical plant as instructed
* Follow a preventative maintenance program as instructed
* Make recommendations for major repairs to the physical plant
* Recommend the purchase of goods and equipment
* Maintain personal equipment & materials stocks inventories
* Provide written reports as required
* Ensure records are maintained
All applicants are required to work within the guidance provided by BS 9999, RRO 2005 Order and DW144/145 and associated company documents, and guidance, to ensure that any plant worked on is tested, compliant, safe and free from risks.
· You will also be expected to undertake any other duties associated to the output of the Regional Team as required.
· The hours of work are Monday to Friday with a requirement to work overtime that will include some weekend work.

Knowledge:
The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
* Ventilation systems management in accordance with TR19.
* Fire damper testing and issue reporting in accordance with BS9999.
* Access doors installation in accordance with DW144.
* Passive fire stopping in accordance with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

Requirements
Experience & Knowledge:
* Installation and testing of fire dampers in compliance with BS 9999, BS EN 15650, and DW 145 standards.
* Familiarity with fire protection regulations, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and Building Regulations Approved Document B.
* Proficiency in sealing penetrations and maintaining fire-resisting compartmentation during fire damper installations.
* Ability to identify and rectify issues during inspections, including mechanical failures or non-compliance.
