Your New Role
This is a critical position that will be involved in defining Commercial Sales processes, KPIs, and setting the basis for good commercial excellence. Process alignment and the ability to connect the dots is critical to this role as it sits at the junction of sales, marketing, finance, and customer relationship management. This role also serves as the EMEA regional liaison to all Global Commercial Enablement initiatives. The role has a key part in Sales forecasting and other key business KPI management and follow-up. The role includes input to initiative development, as well as regional ownership of change management, implementation, and reinforcement. This role has a greater degree of impact on business results and is responsible for managing a group of professionals.
What you'll be doing
The EMEA Commercial Operations Manager is responsible for all aspects of sales analytics, supporting marketing analytics, and other operations-related process activities such as go-to-market, forecasting, sales processes, and incentive compensation, as well as tools like Salesforce.com and quoting and price tools.
1. Commercial Analytics & Insights including Regional Dashboards & KPIs.
2. Commercial Enablement Operations including Regional Forecasting Process, Regional CPQ Process, effectiveness KPIs, and recommendations on sales force size and structure.
3. Sales Force Excellence including support of Regional Go-To-Market strategy, Distributor Excellence strategy, and training plans for sales enablement tools (SFDC, Dashboards, etc.).
4. Incentive Compensation strategy for commercial employees and President's Club annual incentive award program.
5. Supports Regional core leadership team, cluster leaders & finance controllers for QOR/AOP/Executive Business Review preparation.
6. Assisting Executive Vice President, EMEA with preparation and presentation for key global level executive reviews (QORs, Forecast, AOPs, and others), as well as for EMEA Management team meetings and commercial business reviews.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Sales/Marketing, or relevant degree is required.
2. 4+ years of professional experience.
3. In lieu of degree, 8+ years relevant experience.
4. 3+ years of people leadership experience.
5. Sales operations and data analytics experience.
6. Team-oriented & collaborative.
7. Ability to translate data into strategy and actions.
8. Ability to lead, influence and drive changes with clusters.
9. CRM, sales process, and sales management familiarity to understand business requirements.
10. Fluent in English plus at least one other European language.
11. Excellent communication skills.
12. Expert level Excel skills, comfort with other MS Office applications.
13. Tactical/country level experience and Marketing or Finance experience are preferred.
