Engagement Co-ordinator - Permanent, over 33 hours per week, working on a flexible rota. Morecambe.
Working with an established provider of supported accommodation services across England, this exciting new role will be ideal for someone who is seeking a new challenge, an opportunity to work on and deliver learning programmes for young people aged 16-24 at one of the NW services.
The role and key duties:
1. As an Engagement Co-ordinator, you will work with young people to create and set new learnings and activities for engagement.
2. Develop a learning programme and work with the management team to ensure its accreditation in line with OFSTED.
3. Deliver sessions on a group and 1-1 basis, ensuring the delivery of outcomes. This could include sessions on cooking, sports, photography, art, music, and much more.
4. Set up sessions and work with other organisations and charities in the community.
5. Attend residential trips away from the service when required.
6. Deliver topics and sessions on Equality & Diversity & Inclusion, safeguarding, hate crime, respect, and personal values and beliefs.
The ideal candidate:
1. You may have a background in youth work or have supported people with mental health, learning disabilities, and homelessness issues, and have a good understanding of the challenges young people may face.
2. Your positive, creative, and 'can-do' attitude will be key, as will your ability to communicate well and be approachable at all times.
3. You will be flexible to work during the day, evenings, and some weekends and work with a resilient and confident approach.
