A fantastic opportunity to join our team of specialist nurses on the Chemotherapy day clinic.
Chemotherapy Daycase provides a fantastic opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified nurses to gain clinical oncology treatment knowledge and expert chemotherapy clinical skills to treat a range of cancer diagnoses.
As a new starter to the Daycase, you will be provided a thorough induction, supported by a team of clinical educators and experienced staff. You will undertake our specialist cancer care course and be supported through completing your chemotherapy giving passport.

We have clinics both at City Hospital Campus (NUH, NG5) and Kings Mill Hospital Campus (NG17), and expect that both sites would be covered.
The clinic is open 8am-9pm Monday, 8am-8pm Tuesday - Friday and are recruiting into staff nurse positions where we can be flexible within those hours.

Person Specification
NMC Registered
* Current level one NMC registration
* IV Trained
* Cannulation and Venepuncture Trained
* Chemotherapy Trained
* Experience in Oncology/Haematology
* Experience of caring for cancer patients
Communication and relationship
* Basic IT Skills
* Literacy and numeracy skills
* Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
* Recognition of own level of competence and limitations and able to communicate these to appropriate staff
* Working with the MDT
* Demonstration of team working and ability to work within a team
Analytical and Judgement Skill
* Demonstrate an ability to assess, plan, deliver, prioritise and evaluate patient care
* Supervision of non-registered staff and students
* Ability to identify own learning needs
* Demonstrate an understanding of the staff nurse role
