About the role
We have a new opportunity for a talented Rent & Service Charge Officer to join our team in Oldham on a 6-month fixed term contract – working full time 35 hours per week.
Our operating hours are between 8am-6pm.
Reporting to the Rents & Service Charge Manager, some of your duties will include:
* Delivering an effective service charge accounting service across Guinness to meet legal and regulatory requirements.
* Reviewing social, shared owner and fair rents in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, liaising with operational teams as required.
* Delivering accurate and timely service charge estimates and statement of accounts for all service charges, liaising with operational teams as required.
* Monitoring actual performance of service charges against estimates, analysing variances, and taking corrective action, escalating issues as appropriate.
* Contributing to the development and delivery of plans and timetables that ensure service is delivered effectively.
* Exercising internal controls, highlighting errors, and taking action to rectify them where necessary.

You will also be able to demonstrate:
* Experience of reviewing and analysing financial information and reporting on results.
* Good attention to detail with ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines.
* Proven customer service experience.
* Excellent oral and written communications.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
