Aspire People are looking to recruit Learning Mentors for their partnership schools in South Birmingham.
Are you a degree qualified education professional who would like to take on this role guiding children through their learning and supporting the teacher to achieve progression and success?
This role is working as a mentor for mixed ability children within all school years, so experience of working with multiple age groups is necessary. The schools have high SEND averages, so you must be willing to work with children who will need more support.
You will also need to mark, plan, and deliver any work that is set, and this will be reflected upon pay.
The school has a great support network including their SLT, and the children are welcoming and friendly. If you feel that you could offer the support they need, then please get in touch.
As a full-time Learning Mentor, the school will expect you to essentially be a permanent member of staff, so the following is expected:
1. Support whole school groups/children with behaviour management.
2. Patient and nurturing nature and understanding of children's behaviour.
3. De-escalation techniques.
4. Liaise with SLT, parents, and external agencies.
This is an excellent opportunity. I can offer very good rates of pay and I will be available 24/7 for you should you need my help with anything.
