About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced healthcare assistant to join Chelmer Medical Partnership in Chelmsford. The position is offered on 20 hours per week, Monday and Thursday 8.00am – 6.30pm with a 30-minute unpaid break. Candidates will be required to work across the partnership's three sites: Humber Road Surgery, Melbourne House Surgery, and Tennyson House Surgery.
Our well-established, friendly practice requires a motivated and enthusiastic individual with previous primary care experience to assist the clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
Duties to include:
1. Phlebotomy.
2. ECGs.
3. Diabetic health checks.
4. Flu vaccinations.
5. Simple wound care.
6. Dressings.
7. B12 vaccinations.
About the Candidate
The healthcare assistant role within general practice can be very different from the role within other settings; as such, we are only looking for applications from those with previous primary care experience.
All applicants should have the following:
* Experience working as a healthcare assistant in a primary care setting.
* Strong clinical skills including venepuncture/phlebotomy.
* Excellent patient-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
* Confidential manner with a compassionate and respectful approach, placing a high value on the dignity of patients, relatives, carers, and colleagues.
* Ability to work independently, determining own workload priorities, as well as working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
