About the Role:
A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Newcastle-under-Lyme is seeking a dedicated and talented Year 5 Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis from March 2025 until the end of the academic year. The school provides a broad and engaging curriculum, encouraging students to develop a love for learning across a variety of subjects. They place a strong emphasis on student wellbeing and build meaningful relationships with both pupils and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lesson Planning & Delivery: Create and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of Year 5 pupils.
* Assessment & Feedback: Track student progress through marking and assessments, providing feedback to both students and parents/guardians.
* Student Support: Guide and encourage pupils to reach their full academic potential.
* Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and structured learning environment in line with the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies.
* Creating an Inclusive Atmosphere: Foster a supportive classroom where students feel valued and motivated to learn.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* A passion for supporting KS2 learners and helping them succeed.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the school community.
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
