As the Junior DevOps Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain applications, infrastructure, and CI/CD systems, collaborating with development and IT to ensure efficient software delivery and integration, whilst building your skills in the DevOps field., First interview (45 minutes) - Introduction and understanding of your background with Mark Chamberlain (DevOps hiring Manager], and Ben Nias (IT Director)
You will possess good I.T. skills, and possibly some pre-existing DevOps skills. Your collaborative approach to work and an enthusiastic can-do attitude will shine through. Your appetite for development will ensure you embrace the hands on experience available to you from colleagues in the team. Coupled with the multitude of exciting technologies and stacks ranging from on-prem SAN to AWS cloud available.
Experience:
Knowledge of source control and build pipelines (ideally Perforce and TeamCity, but alternatives will be fine)
Understanding of AWS, including compute, storage, networking, and database services
Basic experience in scripting languages, including but not limited to Python, Bash, Powershell
Theoretical understanding of IaC tools and concepts
Linux (Ubuntu / Debian) CLI understanding, and basic Windows knowledge
Basic knowledge of Unity and/or Unreal would be a benefit in this role
