Job overview
This is one new post based at Musgrove Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Musgrove Park, Taunton, Somerset and is central to our continuing reorganisation of the leadership, provision and planning for acute medicine within the Medical Services Group. The post holders should have extensive training and a major interest in acute medicine as ultimately they will provide clinical leadership and assist in the ongoing evolution of this essential key component of our emergency service. The posts will support the weekday running of the Acute Medicine Unit (AMU), Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) and enable a senior acute physician weekday presence within the emergency department (ED), this will be in conjunction with the 6.4 WTE existing acute physicians on a rotational basis.
