Job Title: Operations Manager Location: The Prestige Group Stadium, Hartlepool TS24 8BZ Reports To: Commercial and Operations Director Responsible For: Bar and Catering Manager and Matchday Staff Hours: 37.5 per week – full-time Salary: Competitive – dependent on experience Closing Date: 23 November 2024 Key roles and responsibilities - Deliver outstanding off-field operations and achieve relative targets. - Oversee the monitoring of inventory levels, implementation of best practices, forecasting of operational needs, and maintaining of external provider relationships. - Oversee operational control systems alongside the Finance Team. - Work alongside Directors and Senior Staff to plan and maintain a best-in-class matchday experience and set of operational standards. - Responsible for the planning and implementation of matchday operations including ticketing, retail, fundraising, bars, kiosks, hospitality, and stewarding. - Developing a matchday volunteer base and integration. - Lead in the development of a non-matchday programme of stadium activity including conferencing, functions, and stadium events. - Proactively defining, monitoring, and delivering stadium/facility maintenance plans to budget. - Responsible for Health and Safety including fulfilment of relevant stadium/facility criteria. - Ensuring all stadium/facility regulatory criteria are kept up to date. - Ensuring that any work carried out on stadium/facilities is done so to specification. - Managing the stadium security and cleaning teams for both event and non-event days - Supporting the Commercial and Operations Director with all matchday safety in accordance with regulations. - Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected. Other Responsibilities - Ensure operations remain compliant with all Club policies including safeguarding and equality. - Ensure operations remain compliant with all Club health and safety procedures. - Embed operational promotion of all Club values, including equality and diversity. - Always maintain professional conduct. - Adherence to confidently and data protection procedures. Hours of work This is a full-time role and will include evening and weekend work where required (specifically home matchdays) Desirable skills and experience - Proven senior management track record with relevant sector experience. - Proven track record of delivering value for money with financial budgets and targets. - Proven track record of satisfying multiple stakeholders to deadline. - A valid full clean UK Driving License. Essential - Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build and manage lasting relationships. - Ability to inspire people with varying skill sets - Proficient in the use of Word and Excel. - Willingness to learn how to use database programmes relevant to the role. - Ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels. - Ability to multi-task and handle changes to plans and workload in a positive manner. - Possession of excellent communication skills. - Conscientious and motivated with high levels of personal initiative. - Excellent organisation and timekeeping skills. - Hardworking and enthusiastic about both the role and sport.
