Leading media events business owns and operates a number of industry leading fashion/ retail exhibitions. Proudly, they are the largest and longest running events in the industry and draw in audiences in excess of 12,000 visitors per show.
Due to expansion plans across the business, the need has arisen to hire a Sales Manager to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate sales professional to join a small but established team on a marketing leading portfolio of consumer events. The role is hybrid based in London, with two work from home days and three at the company’s office in Angel, Islington.
The successful candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for selling sponsorship and exhibition packages to prospective clients, developing a strong client base and meeting set targets. In addition, the Sales Manager will be managing a team of three sales executives.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Selling exhibition space and sponsorship packages.
2. Outreach calls to clients via a mix of warm incoming leads and cold calls.
3. Team leadership.
4. Achieving and exceeding team and individual sales targets, set by the Sales Manager.
5. Face to face sales presentations with clients and agencies.
6. Contributing ideas that will assist in the growth of the business.
7. Attending competitor events to generate new leads.
Profile of Candidate:
1. Proven experience in a media sales background – ideally exhibition sales.
2. A passion for sales and willingness to make outbound calls.
3. Ideally some team leadership experience.
4. Highly driven to hit targets and reach financial incentives (commission).
5. Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
6. Strong communication skills.
7. A confident, outgoing personality.
8. Able to work as part of a team but also use their own initiative.
