As we enter an exciting phase of growth, we’re looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join our team.
Role Overview:
As Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's revenue growth by identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities. Your primary responsibilities will include acquiring new clients, nurturing existing accounts, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in sales, client acquisition, and account management within the creative or video production industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Acquisition & Growth: Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities across a range of sectors, ensuring the achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets.
2. Business Development Activities: Engage in pitching, networking, attending marketing events, and managing partnerships. Contribute to email marketing campaigns, conferences, and tradeshows to expand Eye Film’s client base.
3. Quoting & Proposals: Prepare competitive quotes and bespoke proposals for both speculative and firm opportunities, ensuring alignment with client needs and company capabilities. Lead negotiations and close deals effectively.
4. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Track and manage client accounts through CRM software, providing regular updates to the Managing Director on sales pipelines and forecasts.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with the Managing Director to align business development efforts with the company’s growth strategy. Participate in project management to ensure client needs are met while working with the production team.
7. Market Research & Strategy: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities. Develop new strategies and services to stay ahead in the market.
8. Account Management: Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and value.
Desired Skills and Experience:
1. At least 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the video production, TV, film, or creative industries.
2. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
3. In-depth understanding of video production processes, industry trends, and market dynamics. A passion for TV, film, or advertising is highly desirable.
4. Experience using CRM systems to track opportunities, manage client relationships, and generate reports.
5. Demonstrated ability to generate new business, handle large contracts (£10k+), and successfully negotiate terms with clients.
6. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously while achieving sales goals.
7. Ability to collaborate with creative teams and lead efforts to meet client objectives.
8. Experienced in creating impactful presentations and proposals tailored to clients’ specific needs.
9. Ability to provide mentorship and insight to junior team members and contribute to overall team growth.
10. Full UK Driving Licence: Required for attending meetings and client site visits.
