We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Chef Managers to join our ESS Offshore team on a 1 year FTC.

What you'll be doing:

As part of your role as the Chef Manager, you will organise and supervise the unit as well as being responsible for the overall efficient and effective management of the unit under your control whilst providing a quality service.

Successful candidates will have responsibility for the preparation, cooking and service of food, laundry, accommodation, and janitorial services to agreed standards and specifications and to ensure the efficient and economic use is made of all resources, including stock, labour and company assets.

More about the role:

1. Promote a safety culture across the unit ensuring all Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times e.g. Food Handling, Manual handling, Fire procedures.
2. Ensure all Food Safety and Health & Safety paperwork is maintained correctly on a continual basis to ensure full compliance.
3. Ensure all equipment and machinery is in safe working order; all faults/repairs are reported using the appropriate reporting procedures at the earliest opportunity.
4. Manage the delivery of the food service provision across the unit utilising all available resources effectively and efficiently ensuring that all meals are provided to the required quality standards at the specified times to create a consistent customer experience and avoid any service failures or penalties.
5. Proactively develop and continually improve all client and customer relationships.

Who you are:

1. Proven track record working as a Chef Manager.
2. Real passion for food.
3. Excellent client relationship, people management and communication skills.
4. Highly motivated.
5. Financial awareness to complete weekly business returns and full accountability for P&L.
6. Motivated to deliver consistently high standards of food and service quality.
7. Friendly and approachable, with the management skills to develop and manage a team.

Certification required but not essential at this stage:

1. BOSIET/FOET.
2. MIST.
3. OEUK Medical plus Food Handlers Medical.
4. Shoulder Measurements.
5. Advanced First Aid Certification.
6. Support for certifications can be obtained through our training provider.
