Job Title: Graduate Electrical Engineer / Assistant Project Manager

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and talented electrical engineering graduate to join our growing construction management team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and management of the construction our co-located transmission connected solar and battery storage projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain experience and develop expertise in electrical engineering (with a focus on protection and control, and power system studies) and project management within the renewable energy sector. You will be working in a collaborative and down-to-earth team with a hands-on work ethic. Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for solar and battery projects.
* Oversee contractor and technical specialists undertaking grid compliance studies.
* Perform site visits / inspections and assessments to support project planning and execution.
* Provide input into technical specifications.
* Prepare technical / management reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
* Review contractor commissioning and testing of electrical systems.
* Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in renewable energy.
* Support grid code compliance process with NGET and NESO.
* Support the Project Managers in tracking progress and programme, design, quality, risks and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
* Support the Project Managers with interface management.
* Support with permitting (discharge of conditions, planning applications).
* Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
Profile:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Proficient in MS office tools (specifically excel and MS project).
* Clear and concise report writing.
* Ability to manage multiple workstreams.
* Familiarity with UK electrical standards and regulations.
* Previous internship or project experience in the renewable energy / engineering sector.
* Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, particularly in protection and control, and power system studies.
* Knowledge of renewable energy systems, specifically solar and battery storage technologies.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
* Fluent in English.
