This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of experienced and passionate support workers, to deliver 24hour assistance to the wonderful people that live at the service. The people we support have a variety of support needs, including Epilepsy, Downs Syndrome, Verbal, Visual and Learning Difficulties, Autism, Bipolar, Dementia, and five out of seven mobilise with wheelchairs. So their teams are trained in moving and positioning, medication, epilepsy, buccal midazolam, autism, as well as the care certificate. You will also have experience working with people supported who present behaviours that require intensive support planning and management to ensure their safety and quality of life at all times. The people we support enjoy a range of different activities on a weekly basis, some of these include music therapy, swimming, shopping, visiting the local pub for a meal, movie nights, karaoke sessions, and enjoying their sensory room full of great music and lots of wonderful things to keep their minds stimulated and have fun With e xperience working in a health or social care setting, you will have an upbeat positive manner, as well as having a genuine passion for supporting people to become a part of their local and wider community.
