Herbs Unlimited is a family run business that has been established for over 25 years. We grow and pack a wide range of fresh herbs, salads, and speciality produce for the catering, food service and food processing markets. We grow our produce on our own farm at Sandhutton near Thirsk, as well as import from growers overseas, to ensure 12-month supply of the highest quality.

Description
You will be working in 3 areas:
1. Good In:
o Assisting Goods In controller to book in all product and items used within the business
o Checking quality of products upon intake and during storage
o Producing labels and traceability codes
o Managing stocks
o Vacuum cooling
o Running products to the production lines
o Continued hygiene of the area
o Organising waste lines
2. Dispatch:
o Assisting Dispatch controller in the checking off finished products
o Collating the products in the dispatch fridge prior to them being loaded onto delivery vans
o Coordination of Drivers and vans to meet the customer deadlines
o Label printing for the production teams
o Checking of temperatures of finished products
o Checking off the products per customer against the order
3. Dry Pack Packing operations: Flow Wrap, Bulk Machine, Hand packing and Salad mixing
o Weighing of individual herbs and loading them onto the flow wrap or Bulk machine. Creating 35gm bags up to 500gm bags
o Labelling of products
o Packing bags into outer cases as per the individual customer orders
o Making up outer cardboard boxes
o Mixing salad components as per the ingredients list
o Continued hygiene of the area
4. Washing – Low care:
o Preparation of Lettuce and Herbs prior to washing
o Grading of product for identification of foreign bodies and quality issues
o Operation of Slicing machine for slicing of herbs as per customer specification
o Operation of different types of washers
o Handling of cleaning agents to be added to the washers
o Ensuring continuity of Traceability
5. Washing – High care:
o Packing of products as per customer requirements
o Spinning products in the drying machines to ensure excessive water is removed
o Labelling of products as per the customer specification
o Ensuring good hygiene levels are maintained
