As an Apprentice in Human Resources/Organisational Development you will be supported to use systems thinking to support organisational performance and outcomes and build an understanding of how people react and respond. Understanding behaviour is the key to helping us shape our culture and align our Workforce Strategy and capability. The Organisational Development Team in Calderdale delivers on a wide range of projects across the organisation, supporting colleagues across the Council, as well as partners and customers from other organisations. You will be working on a wide range of projects, including equality, diversity and inclusion, talent management, employee experience, strategy, and reporting. What we need from you: Hold a minimum of GCSE 9-4 (or Grade A-C) or equivalent qualification in English and Maths. Have good IT skills in the use of computer packages, such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both in written and in person. A ‘can do’ and flexible approach to work - with the ability to prioritise workload and sometimes change tasks quickly. In return, you will be supported to achieve a recognised level 3 qualification in HR Support (CIPD), whilst working with experienced organisational development colleagues, enabling you to have active experiential learning opportunities whilst gaining your qualification.
