About the Role: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met during the new product introduction phase. Develop and implement supplier quality assurance processes for new products. Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvements. Support the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including PPAP, FMEA, and control plans. Participate in design reviews and provide quality input to ensure manufacturability and reliability of new products.
Responsibilities:

* Support the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including PPAP, FMEA, and control plans.
* Participate in design reviews and provide quality input to ensure manufacturability and reliability of new products.
Qualifications:
* Must have 5+ years experience as a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer, preferably within the automotive sector, though other industries such as marine, aerospace, defense will be considered.
* Proficiency in APQP/PPAP processes.
* Experience with various manufacturing processes and components (e.g., casting, machining, molding, assembly, fabrications) and measurement techniques.
* Understanding of geometric design and tolerancing.
* Familiarity with quality systems, quality tools, and techniques.
* Effective communication and presentation skills, with intercultural and interpersonal proficiency.
* Experienced user of Microsoft Office.
* Flexibility to support regular domestic and international travel to suppliers/customers (including EU and USA) and holder of a valid driving license.
* Engineering degree or equivalent engineering education qualifications or experience.
Preferred Skills:
* Knowledge of automotive technology and product development.
* Auditor training to ISO 9001.
* Knowledge of IATF 16949 standards.
* Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
