We’re looking for a Mid-weight Interior Designer to join our ambitious and growing team at IDA.
You will play an integral part in our busy team by creatively answering design briefs, developing detail design packs, gathering FF&E and helping manage projects from conception to completion, working alongside clients, contractors & IDA’s amazing team members.
We’re searching for THE best person for the role and a great addition to what is already a fantastic team and are open to discussing both full-time / part-time arrangements. Due to the business’s extensive growth since IDA’s inception 8 years ago, our projects cover many areas across the UK.
Who are we?
IDA is a dynamic interior design practice based in Cheadle, South Manchester, who work with key Leisure & Hospitality PLC and independent clients across the UK. We consist of 10+ team members, comprising Creative Designers & Architectural Technicians. We pride ourselves on our work ethic, enthusiasm and aim to being the finest in our field.
What would the role entail?
1. Attending / co-attending client briefings across the UK
2. Producing design responses in the form of proposal drawings & concept boards.
3. Completing full drawing packs ready for construction using AutoCAD.
4. Assisting in running jobs from start to completion on site & confidently liaising with clients/contractors throughout.
5. Management of F&F to budget.
6. Working closely with the wider team, supporting one another in the design process.
What skills & attributes are required?
1. 3+ years of experience as a designer in the hospitality industry, ideally working for clients similar to our portfolio
2. Proficient in AutoCAD
3. Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
4. Appropriate relevant experience in project management & on-site management
5. Creative minded & enthusiastic individual
6. Passion for interiors & problem-solving
7. Ability to work independently & in a studio setting
8. Ability to meet deadlines & work under pressure
9. Open to travel, hold full UK drivers licence
