Vertiv, formally E&I are hiring a Project Manager for the EMS & Automation team. Based in either Derry, NI or Burnfoot, Ireland. You will join a dedicated team of experienced PM's and support with our growth and continuous improvement plan. POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this position provides an excellent opportunity to enhance professional growth and development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Management of projects from inception to on-site commissioning and client handover.
2. Allocate resources and assign responsibilities for the development of detailed software code for automation, control, and energy management data acquisition applications.
3. Ensure that projects are completed to strict budgets and that project tracking documentation and variations are kept up to date for ongoing reviews.
4. Define the scope of projects in collaboration with senior management.
5. Creation of a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete projects.
6. Monitor progress of projects whilst making any adjustments necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
7. Manage day-to-day operational aspects on multiple projects.
8. Strong interpersonal skills necessary to lead a team.
9. Providing regular reports on progress to senior managers and the division manager.
10. Ensure project documentation is completed against strict timeframes to conform to client standards.
11. Negotiate with contractors and suppliers for materials and services.
12. Ensure client satisfaction on project completion.
13. Evaluation of each project's performance and develop lessons learned for use on future projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Job Qualifications:
1. Relevant experience in an Engineering / Manufacturing environment.
2. Be efficiently organised and able to prioritise multiple tasks.
3. Knowledgeable background across a range of hardware and software PLC systems.
4. Electrical/Automation/Control Engineering qualification with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar role.
