About the Role
The Deputy Manager is responsible for the effective day-to-day running of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Co-ordinating and overseeing the provision of all aspects of the young people’s individual placement plans; care, education, therapeutic input, and assessment.
2. The day-to-day administration of the home, particularly in terms of meeting legislative and business requirements.
3. Providing leadership, guidance, and management.
4. Ensuring that a model of supervision is offered to all staff.
5. Ensuring that the home is meeting Ofsted requirements.
You’ll be an experienced leader and motivator of staff and you must have worked in a Children’s Home before supporting young people who have experienced childhood trauma.

Our client needs someone who can be a role model, work well within a team, has great communication skills, is willing to go the extra mile, and be prepared for the varying difficulties the role may present.
You will need 2 years working in a residential children’s service with at least 1-year supervisory experience working at a senior level. You will already have the L3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent plus the L5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or be working towards it, or have a willingness to undertake this.
