About the role

The Business Intelligence and Population Insights team is vital in shaping the council’s decision-making, strategy development, and delivery through the provision of high-quality information and intelligence.
We’re looking for a Business Intelligence & Population Insights Business Partner to become a critical link between our centralised Intelligence team and the council’s wider directorates.
What will you be doing?
You will be one of a small team of Business Partners, each aligned to a council directorate, responsible for shaping the service’s reporting requirements, identifying new lines of enquiry, presenting analysis and insights to senior managers, and becoming a trusted Intelligence lead for the directorate supported.
We have a vacancy in our team to support children’s services. Experience or knowledge of data on education attainment and children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is advantageous but not essential.
Your Responsibilities
* Develop strong working relationships with key council services, presenting analytical insights to senior managers.
* Seek improved ways of working, innovation, and greater efficiencies across the wider Intelligence team.
* Develop good knowledge of legislative requirements and new initiatives impacting the service.
* Present information to audiences without a background in data analysis, simplifying complex data.
* Be technically proficient in data manipulation and guide colleagues on reporting measures.
