Field Service Engineer, Medical Equipment, North of England and Scotland, £45,000 Basic salary plus £500 pcm car allowance plus mileage allowance and pension and benefits. This is an incredible opportunity with a German manufacturer of hospital medical equipment for an exceptional field service engineer within mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
To apply, you should have field service experience in areas such as medical equipment, robotics, automation, materials handling, packaging machinery, SCADA, PLC, PAC, instrumentation, motion control, HMI, or similar fields. Additionally, you should possess some knowledge of electrical engineering and have experience using technical or industrial software.
This very hands-on service engineering role is ideal for someone looking to continue their learning and development. You will address faults and breakdowns, carry out site assessments, undertake routine maintenance, and update the central database with unusual faults.
The role will involve significant training and will commence with a two-month structured induction and development programme. Training will also take place in Germany. Thereafter, you will be expected to be flexible, committed to continuous development and willing to commit to a 5-10-year career role.
To apply, you should be a confident and well-presented field service engineer, ideally with a 2:1 or higher degree in mechanical engineering. You should have completed an engineering apprenticeship or possess similar formal qualifications. Alternatively, you may qualify with over five years of field service experience in a related field and the ability to pass technical competency testing.
