Main duties of the job
Thefocus of this role will be to design and implement an educational pathway andprogramme that meets the needs of healthcare professionals caring forchildren, young people and their families affected by life-limiting and/ orlife-threatening conditions across the West Yorkshire health and care system.The post will also support the establishment of a community of practice forumto ensure that learning is also shared across the West Yorkshire system.

Job responsibilities
2. JOB PURPOSE
TheJobholder will carry continuing responsibility for a defined caseload,including the setting of standards of care, the assessment of care needs andthe development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. The jobholder will provide advanced nursingexpertise to a specific patient group and will contribute to the developmentof the speciality service as well as contributing to the strategic directionof nursing within the Trust. The jobholder will ensure cost effective use ofresources.

Inconjunction with the team leader or matron:-
Be responsible for the organisationand development of the service.
Producing business plans to supportrestructure of the service as/when required.
Setting out an education structurefor the team
Ensure the team comply with theTrusts risk and governance agenda.
Offer specialist supervision,teaching and consultation to practitioners both within and outside theOrganisation
