Climate17 are working alongside a global leader in renewable energy solutions, specialising in wind turbines, energy storage, and AIoT-driven smart energy management. In the UK, they focus on developing battery storage projects to support the transition to a low-carbon future. They are actively searching for an experienced industrial elelctrcian to carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on their operational battery assets. The successful candidate will also work extensively with other stakeholders within the (BESS) team, including MEP, Development, and Construction to ensure that any factors that impact the effective operation of the BESS assets are understood and actively managed. Responsibilities Develop the O&M function to fulfil the asset management and O&M objectives Ensure to deliver O&M services for BESS assets and develop to ensure effective and efficient delivery of works. Take responsibility for ensuring that operational and technical escalations are managed in line with regulatory, contractual & commercial obligations. Troubleshoot operational issues with the O&M service team and technical partners Identifying areas of need for improvement and further optimisation of the system to enhance further efficiency. Assist with phone support and remote diagnostics to customers. Maintain Energy Storage Systems to a high standard by carrying out annual PPM checks, annual capacity tests and reactive works. Provide phone support and remote diagnostics to customers. A positive attitude towards Health, Safety, Wellbeing, Environment and Quality Assurance (RAMS/SHEQ/CDM) The ability to build and maintain customer / client relationships to ensure customers / clients are delighted and future growth opportunities. Equipped to hit the ground running and deliver results at pace, while maintaining poise. Administrative duties, i.e. time sheets, daily vehicle checks, providing daily job logs etc. Perform start-up and commissioning services at customer locations (SAT). Assist the in-house system engineering group in product development and or project work. Requirements H&S knowledge and experience within electrical installation projects (RAMS / SHEQ /CDM) Holding any of the following. IOSH, SSMTS ,SMSTS or NEBOSH certification Previous experience in an Electrical Contracting / Construction environment/Mechanical Desirable knowledge of renewables, Battery storage EV Charge Pont, PV, Installations etc. 18th edition or equivalent certification. City and guilds electrical certification level 3 NVQ, 5357 EAL, 2357-13 EAL or equivalent ECS card registered with the IEC Desirable AP certified.
