About the role:
Reporting to our AVP ESG & Compliance, this is a newly created role focused on the Governance workstream of the ESG agenda and ensuring strict adherence to business compliance requirements throughout the organisation. This role is offered on a fixed term contract basis up to 12-month, 4 days per week (part-time, 30 hours) with potential to go permanent. Preferred working days Monday to Thursday.
Main responsibilities & duties:
6. Ownership of the Internal Audit programme, including management of a Big 4 Internal Audit team (co-sourced relationship), programme scheduling and evaluation, and the operation of a robust framework formulation
7. Review and evaluation of functional control processes, including the documentation of process flows and the creation of structured reports, detailing any findings and suggesting suitable recommendations and/ or mitigations to be implemented
8. Timely closure of all audit actions and risks including named owner(s) and documented evidence
9. Governance of the organisational GOA, and its application to the ERP and other key business systems
10. SME for all GDPR and data protection queries/guidance, including the completion and evaluation of all project Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) and maintenance of the organisational processing registers.
11. Development of the third party KYBP DD programme, including annual attestation programme and Business Partner Code of Conduct monitoring, to support the PC3 programme
12. Management of the third party KYBP platform and the automated integration with GXP systems and processes
13. Primary investigator for internal investigations
14. Development of the organisational risk programme, including management of the organisational risk register and development of a reporting dashboard, scheduling of the Risk Steering Committees and follow up on action closures
15. Management of the Pharmanovia Business and Ethics curriculum, including revision proposals of the Global Code of Conduct and supporting business policies, and development of a training library ensuring full alignment to legal requirements and best practice
16. Management of the Business Compliance platform, including review and publication of content and executive reporting
17. Delivery of the New Starter ESG & Compliance inductions
18. Governance of the Company Secretarial records and documents.
19. Ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations.
About you:
This is a stand-alone role, and the successful applicant will be responsible for keeping up with the changing political and regulatory developments, ensuring that we have all up to date process and procedures in place.
20. A strong education background, degree educated
21. 5 years + experience in an internal audit, finance or corporate compliance and governance role gained within the pharmaceutical industry
22. Strong technical understanding of the GDPR regulations and requirements
23. Organised, inquisitive, innovative problem solvers with the ability to perceive, understand and interpret facts quickly and precisely
24. Professional with solid time management skills, the ability to multitask and see the big picture
25. Strong technical skills with experience of preventing, detecting and remediating compliance violations
26. A resilient individual who is not afraid to challenge at all levels
27. Data driven in decision making with the ability to analyse, focus on the key issues and communicate with clarity
