Job summary Riverview Surgery is a well-established, supportive, forward thinking GMS practice in Sunderland. We are located 15 miles east of Newcastle upon Tyne, with easy access to the A1 and Tyne tunnel. We have an exciting 6-8 session salaried GP opportunity with a flexible start date up to 1-4-2025. We are seeking an enthusiastic and positive GP who is genuinely interested in holistic care for their patient. Main duties of the job The workload is well managed with 15 patients morning (0900-1130) and 10 patients on an afternoon (1530- 1700). Very low visiting for GPs. No care home alignment. Flexible working hours and structure of surgeries. No 'Out of hours' or 'Extended access' requirement. About us We pride ourselves on being a family practice with strong patient centred care and a list size of ca 7000. Our patients for the most part live in an area of high socio-economic deprivation but being inner city we have a proportion of university students. We operate from a single site in a modern NHS property service building with secure on-site parking. 10 minute appointments. We are a friendly, relaxed, and supportive team led by our Practice Manager and Assistant Practice Manager. Our team comprises; 1x community pharmacist, 1x pharmacy technician, 2x practice nurses, 1x nurse practitioner, 1x salaried GP and 1x GP partner.
